Benefits of Floor Graphics

Benefits of Floor Graphics

Want little to no side by side competition on marketing efforts? Floor graphics are your answer! Floor graphics help to enhance the customer experience and almost immediately draw the customers eye to your products or information you want to portray.

We suggest putting them in high foot traffic areas such as along normal pathways or near check out stands.

Directions: Floor graphics are a great way to “lead” the customer around your store or to a certain part of your store that you want to make sure everyone sees. Graphics and shapes could also change as you get closer to a certain area, or different part of the store to coincide with products. This helps to walk your customers through the process or store as you would like them to understand it, better controlling the experience.

Cost Efficient: the cost of floor graphics are relatively low, and are usually longer lasting, making them a win-win. They can go almost anywhere (sidewalks, warehouse, laminate, carpet, etc.) and they make an impression long after the guests have seen your graphics as well.

Flexible: You can have custom floor graphics made specific to your needs, budget, and overall goal. Need standard signs telling customers where to go? Need unique shapes and sizes to help your marketing efforts? It is a great way to advertise while also saving space! The possibilities are endless!

CMYK vs RGB vs PMS – What Is The Difference?

CMYK vs RGB vs PMS – What Is The Difference?

RGB : Red Green Blue

RGB stands for Red, Green, Blue. These three colors are essentially additive light colors that are used to make new colors. When all three are combined, it creates white. When no light colors are added, it shines black. The stronger the light intensity, the brighter and more vibrant the color appears. RGB colors are considered additive colors and added to a black screen.

When to use: RGB is often used by graphic designers and others who use computers to design art. RGB can only be used on screens and other technological devices. Due to some technology limitations, our computer screens, TV screens and other device screens can’t display every color our eyes are able to see. RGB offers more colors, that are more vibrant than CMYK.

CMYK: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black

CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and blacK,  and often referred to as 4-color process. It offers a larger scope of colors than RGB. Additionally, CMYK colors are considered subtractive colors and added to a white “screen”, or paper, to block out the light reflecting off paper. When adding cyan, magenta and yellow together, you would not get black unless adding them multiple times, causing more expense. Adding in a true black is time efficient and budget friendly. The CMYK color range allows for colors to be displayed more accurately and colors are presented in small, tiny, indiscernible dots to create the most accurate color possible.

When to use: CMYK is used on print materials such as paper, banners, apparel, promotional products and vehicle graphics. CMYK is best for photographs and designs that incorporate multiple colors or gradients

PMS: Pantone Matching System

PMS stands for Pantone Matching System and uses solid colors, sometimes known as spot colors. PMS colors are not recommended for color blending, as using multiple PMS colors can get expensive. Each Pantone color is solid and assigned a unique number to ensure consistency across print mediums. While you can convert PMS colors to CMYK colors, results often vary.

When to use: PMS is best used on logos and other branding, and best for projects with 1 to 3 solids colors without photographs or blending. It can be used to achieve colors outside the CMYK range of colors.

  1. Print is Green! Print is environmentally-friendly and one of today’s most sustainable industries. Only 17% of cut forest trees are used by the paper industry.
  2. Most paper is recycled at least seven times before adding in virgin wood fibers.
  3. 91% of consumers agreed that print and paper are sustainable ways to communicate, when responsibly produced, used, and recycled.
  4. Spam email wastes at least 33 billion kilowatt hours annually – equivalent to the greenhouse gas emissions of 3.1 million cars using 2 billion gallons of gas.
  5. The average person wastes 2.4 times more electricity on powering a single computer than the energy used to produce the paper they use in a year.
  6. Lately some cite the “environmental stress” of sending paper documents. However, paper comes from a sustainably grown renewable resource. The demand for paper creates the economic incentive that drives continual regeneration of forests and the delivery of carbon sequestration benefits.
  7. A 2016 study found that 85% of respondents believe that companies who make negative green claims about paper are simply seeking to reduce their expenses.
  8. Roughly two-thirds of the energy used by North American pulp and paper mills is self-generated. The paper industry uses more renewable energy than any other industrial sector.
  9. The global print and paper industry accounts for only 1% of the global carbon dioxide emissions.

The facts are clear when it comes to using printed marketing pieces versus electronic marketing – printed marketing pieces are more effective and “green” than email and online marketing.

Vehicle Wrap FAQs

Vehicle Wrap FAQs

Are you considering a vehicle wrap for one or more of the cars, vans, trucks, buses or trailers in your company fleet?  If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers! Get answers to the most commonly asked questions about vehicle wraps and vehicle graphics.

WILL A VEHICLE WRAP DAMAGE THE PAINT ON OUR FLEET VEHICLES?

In most cases, factory paint jobs will not be damaged from a vehicle wrap. In fact, for most cars, a vehicle wrap will help prevent from fading and other damages caused to cars from natural elements. Paint or coatings in poor condition may peel when vehicle graphics or wraps are removed from the vehicle.

CAN YOU WRAP THE BACK AND SIDE WINDOWS, TOO?

Yes! We use window film which allows you to see out from inside the vehicle, but hinders people looking into the vehicle from outside. The graphic looks seamless from the outside of the vehicle. This is what you typically see on city busses.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF APPLYING A VEHICLE WRAP OR VEHICLE GRAPHICS?

Artwork. If your art has already been created, we will check to ensure it is compatible with our equipment. If it is, we will email you a PDF proof and an image of what your vehicle graphics will look like once printed and applied to your vehicle(s).

Let us know if you need artwork created, we are happy to design it for you; there may be a fee. Note: artwork that we create will be the property of Cascade Print Media. We will keep it on file so it is handy when you are ready to wrap more vehicles.

Scheduling. After you approve your proof, we schedule a time for your vehicle(s) to be dropped off at our Tacoma facility. Our typical turn-around time is less than 24 hours. Schedule early to help ensure a speedy turnaround.

Drop Off Your Freshly Cleaned Vehicles. When you deliver your vehicles, ensure they are delivered freshly cleaned and free of dirt, dust, oils, waxes or any other substance that could prevent the vinyl from adhering to the vehicle. Vehicles which are dropped off that are not in proper condition, may incur a $150 cleaning fee. If Cascade Print Media needs to clean your vehicles, we may need to drive them off premise for cleaning. Cascade Print Media is not liable for any damage to vehicles during this process.

DOES MY VEHICLE HAVE TO BE A CERTAIN COLOR TO BE WRAPPED?

We can wrap any color of vehicle with almost any graphic! While we prefer black or white, depending on what graphic is being wrapped, we are happy to wrap any color of vehicle.

WHAT TYPES OF VEHICLES CAN YOU WRAP?

We can apply vehicle graphics or a vehicle wrap to any type of vehicle. We typically wrap cars, SUVs, convertibles, vans, box trucks, semitrucks, mini-busses, busses, trailers, and much more. We also wrap motorcycles, boats, scooters, and more! See examples of a few vehicles we have wrapped.

HOW LONG WILL MY VEHICLE WRAP LAST?

Wraps usually last anywhere from four years to well over a decade. How long your wrap lasts will depend on a variety of factors. Weather, maintenance, storage, the elements exposed to the vehicle, and how you care for the vehicle all contribute to how long it lasts. Window film usually lasts 2 – 5 years, but can easily be replaced to match the original vehicle wrap or graphics.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY VEHICLE WRAP?

We recommend avoiding commercial car washes, as the high pressures can damage the graphics and encourage early peeling. Using ice scrapers on window graphics will void your warranty and could cause peeling.

HOW EASY IS IT TO REMOVE VEHICLE GRAPHICS AND WRAPS?

Vehicle wraps and graphics are fairly easy to remove by trained professionals. Most factory paint and coatings allow for the wraps to be removed with no residue, and without peeling the paint. While older vehicles are more prone to paint peel, it is rare. Cascade Print Media is not responsible for paint damage during installation or removal of vehicle graphics or wraps.

WHY SHOULD I WRAP MY VEHICLE?

Vehicle wraps provide the highest return on investment (ROI) in terms of marketing costs. Your vehicle has the ability to be seen by more than 16 million people in a year, depending on where your vehicle is driven and how much time it is on the road.  Fleet wrapped vehicles have been shown to increase brand awareness 15 times greater than any other form of advertising media. Mobile advertising allows you to position your “ad” in any location you want. The average American travels 302 miles per week – providing excellent opportunities for mobile advertising to promote your products, company, or organization.
